It seems funny that when I had my first job I worked for a company calculating Life insurance quotes and yet when it came to getting some life insurance for me I had no clue. I turned to everyone I could for help. My parents have AARP life insurance which I am not entitled to and so I am not sure where to go for help. I do not like the idea of going to a broker as I think that I should know a bit about it myself really. They may sell me something inappropriate because I do not know what I am doing. I think that I will do a bit of research myself and ask around a few other people before making up my mind. I will also ring around for some quotes and then have a think. Hopefully it will give me some idea of what is available, how much I will need to pay and what different companies are offering. I will also do a bit of research about insurance and what it is all about as it is such a long time since I worked in that area I may be out of date with my knowledge.
