Is More Better When it Comes to Business Cards
If you stop to think for a moment about the business cards you have received, you will most likely find it hard to remember most of them. Why is this? Because the design was flawed. Most likely those cards that you do not remember are those that contain too much information or that are too ‘busy’. On the other hand, the cards that do come to mind are mostly likely cards that were designed simply and that had a catchy tag line, graphic or a photo imprinted on them.
When it comes to ordering your own cards, you should be sure not to include too much information. Your message should be short, catchy and to the point. Avoid adding a lot of unnecessary information and instead just include the basics: name, phone number, what services you offer and perhaps a logo. You should try to include some color on your business card as well because a black and white card is so traditional, standard and frankly rather boring.
Is more better when it comes to business cards? The answer is “no”. Less is best as no one wants to read a ton of information crammed on a small card. To ensure that your cards get read, keep it clean, simple and to the point!
