Conception
Trying to work out when it is the best time to try for a baby is hard work. There are quite a few methods used. Anyone trying to conceive will be able to tell you how hard it is to know which method is right. There is only one day a month when the egg is in the right state to be fertilised and so using something like a due date calendar could be very useful indeed. It will certainly help to predict the right time of the month to try. It is important to also be aware that sperm have the best mobility if they are produced every three days and so it is a good idea to try to conceive 3 days before the ovulation date and also on that day and then hope that there is a chance of fertilisation. It is very normal for it to take up to two years to get pregnant and so, success even with these methods is unlikely to be immediate. Try not to put pressure on yourselves, enjoy the experience and don’t have high expectations. It is better to be surprised it happens quickly than disappointed that it has been so slow.
